Welcome to The Little House self catering cottage. Located in the heart of North Devon, the perfect yet peaceful location for exploring the North Devon Coast and Exmoor. We are dog friendly and we welcome children of all ages.
The Little House is a quirky, small and cosy open plan cottage/apartment. Note: low ceilings/beams which are just under 6 foot throughout. With a king size bed, sofa bed, TV, fully fitted kitchen, dining table and benches and a wet room. The Little House looks across your own private driveway out onto our garden, paddock, stream and the woodland beyond. Please note, the Little House is not a detached property, it is part of our Long House which was built in 1670. At the rear of the Little House you have a picnic bench, private patio and a fire pit. Your own driveway and parking as well as access to your own paddock. We have made sure that although we live on site, everything about the Little House is totally self contained. We are here to help you, but you do not need to come into contact with us. There is no doubt it is quiet here! It is a great location from which to explore North Devon, then head back and enjoy a glass of vino listening the to rooks head home to roost and the owls come to life at dusk. There is no carpet in the Little House as the floors are wooden and tiled, the sofa is leather.
We live in a quiet, friendly small hamlet called Whitehall. There are decent local walks. Just chat to us, we can recommend all sorts of wonderful places for walks, picnics and we know all the pubs. The folder in the Little House tells you all about the local walks.
Everyone is welcome – we are dog friendly and children of all ages are welcome so are. Walkers, bikers, golfers and surfers. Come and enjoy a slice of the North Devon peace and quiet and escape to the countryside. A very homely, warm welcome awaits you.
